Hello! 

 

I'm Hamish, an award winning on-screen journalist and presenter with ITV News. I film, script and edit news packages, report live into the national evening news and present bulletins from the ITV Wales studio.

 

I grew up on a small island in Orkney where my parents have been sheep farmers for nearly 50 years. My two brothers and I are named after the island, which is called 'Auskerry', from the Old Norse for 'east skerry'. 

 

Every summer I take time off work to go and help on the farm. In 2023, I had the idea to buy a camera and do some filming on our farm. I started making short films for YouTube to keep a record of my parents' chapter in this amazing place.
